INSTALLING A HUSBAND

INSTALLING A HUSBAND

Dear Tech support,
Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0. In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5 and then installed undesirable programs such as NBA 5.0, NFL 3.0 and Golf 4.1. Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. I’ve tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail. What can I do?

Signed,

Desperate.

First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system. Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html and try to download Tears 6.2 and don’t forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5. But remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5. Conversation 8.0 may work better if you are willing to add ESPN 4.5 along with it. Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother- In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.) Also do not attempt to reinstall Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0. In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. Many have found it helpful to run Marriage Retreat 6.2. You need to be careful if you do, as this may require you to also run Cooking 3.0 and Hot Lingerie 7.7.

Good Luck,

Blackberries are ripe at Fry Lake

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008

We have been picking blackberries most evenings. Mary has preserved 3 batches of blackberry jam. If you are thinking of visiting and like berry-picking now would be a great time! Our neighbor Nadine has been our berry-picking guide. We have picked on both Fry Lake and Almosta Farm which is the farm Just to the west that is owned by Spider and Nadine.

How can we meet the needs?

Sunday, June 8th, 2008

Two different church groups have contacted us in the last two weeks that need places to hold youth retreats. It would be nice to get the youth retreat facility here refurbished so that it can meet this need. It wouldn’t take anything major but the list of minor projects is long. Everything from cleaning to fiberglass canoe repairs.

Cleanup

Friday, May 30th, 2008

We’ve been doing a lot of cleanup around Fry Lake. There is so much to do. George, Daniel and Dave were out burning some of the piles of wood that have been stacked as they mow. George did a lot of pulling weeds down near the lake. George and Dave have been mowing and brushogging practically non-stop. It is absolutely gorgeous back here - everything is so green. Come back and visit us!!!

Bonfire

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

Last week, Daniel and Stacie had several of their friends over for a big bonfire. They all seemed to enjoy it and the party didn’t start breaking up till 4 in the morning!!! They are hoping to do more of them. Never a short supply of wood around here! Come back and visit, see if you can build a bigger bonfire! It not only was fun for them, it helps cleanup around here. George(Julie’s dad), stacks the wood in piles as he cleans up and mows. Daniel took his truck and Dave’s trailer and piled the wood on to burn. fry-lake-025.jpg

Horses Can Roam

Thursday, April 10th, 2008

About a week ago we put in a cattle guard at the front gate so we could let Julie’s horses roam free instead of being penned up. Our neighbor, Spider came over and helped do some welding for us. It is officially in and Laddie and Bud are loving roaming the property and eating the grass! Thanks Spider and Nadine for all your help!!! You guys are awesome!!! To the right there is a link to Nadines art site and as you can see from the picture she is also a welder’s helper besides an artist!

Heavy rain has caused damage in other areas but Fry Lake is good.

Tuesday, March 18th, 2008

We had a lot of rain last night but the dam repair held up well. We have the bulldozer (BRUTE) on standby and a pile of dirt available but didn’t need it yet. On the west side of Oklahoma city It caused some problems including a washout or sinkhole that swallowed a pickup truck

Dock Project

Saturday, March 1st, 2008

When we got Fry Lake, there was a floating dock that had come loose and blown to the north end of the lake. It had become mired in the mud while it deteriorated. During the heavy rains last year the level of the lake rose enough to re-float the dock and we were able to move it to the south end of the lake and secure it near the boat ramp.small-dock.bmp

We recently pulled it out of the water, up the boat ramp and George(Julie’s dad) is disassembling it and salvaging the usable lumber. We hope to have enough usable lumber to build a smaller floating dock with a ramp to make it accessible to those guests who may be wheelchair bound to fish or board boats or canoes. We have two floats with brackets for the new dock and want to locate or build a small pontoon-type boat that we can match the height of the dock to so a wheelchair can be wheeled aboard easily. Someone had the idea that we may be able to build a deck on a set of hobie-cat style pontoons so if anyone has knowledge of a set of those sitting in someones back yard, we may be able to put them to good use.
